Rider

A rider is the delivery person who carries an order from the supermarket to the customer. Riders use the Tradar rider app to receive pickups, navigate, and confirm deliveries.

Riders are attached to one supermarket

On Tradar, every rider record is attached to one supermarket at a time. A rider attached to FreshMart receives FreshMart's pickups through the rider app.

A supermarket chooses its fulfilment setup during onboarding. The default is In Store Riders. A store that needs Tradar-supplied capacity chooses Tradar Rider Pool, while a store that does not deliver can choose Pickup only.

How a rider gets attached

There are three routes.

In Store Riders. The supermarket brings its own drivers and adds them to its account. The store manages their day-to-day availability while Tradar handles the order and rider workflow.

Tradar Rider Pool. Tradar operations allocates rider capacity after onboarding. This is the option for a supermarket that needs Tradar-supplied riders.

Pickup only. Customers collect their orders from the supermarket, so no rider attachment is required.

Scheduling

Within a supermarket's attached rider team, the team works out who is available at each time. Tradar's job is dispatch, not roster management: when a delivery order is ready for pickup at FreshMart, the platform sends it to an available rider under the store's selected fulfilment setup.
