Customer

A customer is the shopper placing the order. They live on the consumer side of Tradar and interact only with the storefront.

Customers on Tradar are identified by phone number. Sign in is a phone number plus a six digit code by SMS. The first time a phone number appears, an account is created automatically; there is no separate signup screen. This keeps the friction low for shoppers who have a phone but not necessarily an email address.

A customer has a saved list of delivery addresses, a default address, and an order history that goes all the way back to their first order. They can reorder a past basket with one tap.

A walk in shopper who gives their phone number at the FreshMart counter sees that terminal sale appear in the same order history as their online orders. To them, Tradar is one place; the difference between online and over the counter is invisible.
