Managing riders
On Tradar, every rider is attached to exactly one supermarket. The admin app's Riders screen is where the operations team adds new riders to the platform, attaches them to the supermarket they will serve, and manages those attachments over time.
Adding a rider
Name, phone number, vehicle type, and the supermarket the rider will be attached to. The rider receives a link to download the rider app by SMS. Once they sign in, they show up in that supermarket's rider team and start receiving its pickups.
Attaching riders to a new supermarket
Check the fulfilment choice before allocating riders. In Store Riders is the default and means FreshMart supplies its own team; admins only help create or attach those rider records when needed. If FreshMart selected Tradar Rider Pool, allocate rider capacity from Tradar's available pool before the store begins delivery. Pickup only requires no rider team.
Reassigning a rider
A rider can be moved from one supermarket to another, but the rule is one supermarket at a time. Reassignment ends the old attachment and creates a new one; the rider does not serve both at once. Most reassignments happen because a rider's circumstances changed (different shift, different area) or because a supermarket's volume changed and the team needs rebalancing.
Suspending a rider
Temporarily blocks them from receiving new pickups without breaking the attachment or deleting their history. Useful for compliance reviews, gear issues, or any situation that needs a pause rather than a permanent end. Re enabling is one click.
